Unhinged| A G Howard | Splintered series #2

Can we just pause for a moment and glory of the wonder that is this cover……. I just love it ….

I could stare at that face for a looong time, he can certainly take me to know what I’m saying ladies 😉

I listened to the first book in this series, called Splintered a while ago – I’m thinking about a year? – I started to read the book, but work schedules and all that, hindered my progression, so I took to the trusty audio version and loved it, so here we are again.

I started this series, because I do love ‘Alice in Wonderland’ tale wether it be the Lewis Carrol or Disney, and any ‘spin off’ or retelling is always worth a visit.

Howard, makes a very good job of creating her own world within the bubble of the original, yet manages to make the charecters and storlyline new and refreshing.

After all the revelations of the first book, Alyssa, our leading lady, finds out about her heritage and enters Wonderland to fight battles and all sorts of imaginative creatures, we find her still coming to terms with who her parents are, and of course, being a teenage book, her heart strings are plucked like a violin on concert night, loving and hating and loving and hating …….. you get the picture

I really enjoyed listening to this rendition and thoroughly recommend anyone who wasnts to be whisked away into an imaginary land and leave real life for a while.

read it and and find out what I mean!

ohh and before i go, you really need to read / listen to Splintered first, toehrwise, nothing will make sense!

TTFN and happy listening!
